Yesterday as I was trying to decide what to make for Sunday dessert I remembered about this yummy lemon bar recipe that I have. I haven't made lemon bars in probably over a year so it was definitely time to make them again! I love a good lemon bar! Even my husband, who isn't a big lemon bar fan, said these were delicious! You'll just have to try them to see for yourself!
Start out with putting 1 cup of softened butter in a medium bowl.
Add 2 cups of flour and 1/2 cup sugar to the butter.
Blend it all together.
Then press the mixture into a 9 x 13 pan and bake it in the oven for 15 to 20 minutes. ( I have no clue why random sections of this post are underlined...weird.)
In another bowl whisk together the remaining 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1/4 cup flour.
Whisk together the eggs and the lemon juice.
Whisk in the lemon juice/egg mixture.
Here it is all combined.
Now pour it all on top of the baked crust.
Put it back into the oven to bake for another 20 minutes.
After the bars have cooled they will firm up more. Cut them into bars and serve.
