BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches

I made these pulled pork sandwiches about a month ago when we had some family in town.  I used a larger roast and just added a little more soda and BBQ sauce since we had quite a few people to feed.  It turned out great and we loved it!  It was so flavorful and delicious!  It's so easy to make!

BBQ Pulled Pork Sandwiches
Recipe adapted from Jamie Cooks It up!

1 3lb. pork roast
2 Tbsp. olive oil
Montreal Steak Seasoning
3/4 cup coke (Dr. Pepper or Root beer works too)
1 1/2- 2 cups BBQ sauce

Place pork roast on a plate and season it with Montreal Steak Seasoning.  Pat the seasoning into the roast with your fingers.  Pour olive oil into a large hot skillet and place your pork roast seasoned side down into the skillet.    Sprinkle seasoning on the unseasoned side of the roast.  Let the pork roast get brown and then turn it over and sear it on the other side as well.  Stab the roast with a fork a few times and transfer it to a large crock pot.  Pour the soda over the meat and cover and cook on low for 7 hours until you can shred the meat with a fork.  Remove roast and shred with a fork.  Then place it back into the crock pot for 1 hour more.  Drain the juices from the crock pot and pour the BBQ sauce in.  Stir it well until it is incorporated.  Cook for 30 to 60 minutes more.  Serve on rolls or buns.
